This project involved the development of an intranet designed to enhance internal communication and knowledge sharing across four countries, aiming to unify resources and promote collaboration. The primary focus was on creating a user-friendly platform that would facilitate information exchange and encourage employee engagement across diverse locations.
As the Web Editor and UX Designer, I managed the development of the intranet’s design and structural layout, ensuring intuitive navigation and a seamless user experience. Central objectives were to improve cross-location communication, create an easily accessible hub for centralized resources, and design an interface that promoted efficiency and engagement. My responsibilities included standardizing design elements for a consistent experience, enhancing user experience through user-centered design, and supporting intranet editors through comprehensive training across all regions.
The solution centered on design consistency, with a standardized interface to create a cohesive look and feel, along with UX enhancements to ensure easy navigation. I conducted training programs for intranet editors in each country, emphasizing best practices for content management to maintain a high quality and consistency of information. Additionally, I developed user manuals to guide employees in maximizing the intranet’s functionality.
Post-launch surveys showed that the platform exceeded industry benchmarks for user-friendliness, satisfaction, and perceived benefit, underscoring our commitment to delivering an effective and engaging communication tool.
