This project focused on creating an innovative e-commerce platform for a food retailer, blending the complex requirements of B2B functionality with the intuitive ease of a B2C experience. The new platform was designed to enhance user engagement, establish trust with customers, and drive greater online sales through a mobile-responsive and user-friendly interface that emphasized quality and affordability.

In my role as Lead Digital Designer, my primary objectives were to deliver a visually appealing and reliable platform that would attract B2B customers while offering the simplicity and usability of a B2C site. The design was mobile-friendly and focused on creating a streamlined purchasing experience, ultimately aimed at increasing both average order value and sales volume.
The process began with thorough market and user research to understand customer needs and purchasing behaviors. This research informed the design approach, allowing us to build wireframes, mockups, and prototypes for the website. Each design phase was developed with the user in mind, refining the structure and functionality of the pages to ensure an intuitive experience. Close collaboration with the development team was essential to implement the design effectively and meet high UX/UI standards, while frequent alignment with product owners helped us prioritize features and create a product roadmap that aligned with business objectives.
Over a year after the platform’s launch, results showed a substantial increase in average order value alongside a marked growth in order volume. Improved channel margins added to the overall profitability, demonstrating the success of the platform in delivering a seamless and user-centered B2B experience.
